Who We Are:

  • Established in 1965, The IRA is the only Business Development Organization of its kind
  • We support government, industry and community interaction, as well as networking and philanthropic needs of the C5ISR family
  • Our mission is to facilitate government and industry communication as well as community events that support national and local events
  • We are a 100% volunteer organization
  • We hold monthly (at a minimum) events in the Aberdeen Proving Ground area to facilitate enhanced communication and networking between government and industry

Ways To Participate in the IRA

  • Attend the monthly luncheons, attendance boosts visibility. The sharing of ideas increase industry positioning.
  • Participate on a committee.  Increased participation improves our product.
  • You can help staff the IRA table at the lunches.  Being visible to attendees increases teaming options.
  • Solicit speakers. A wider diversity of speakers increase our information for effective bidding. Your participation increases your credibility with the customers


Mission

The mission of the IRA is to foster a professional relationship and understanding among its members and within the Army’s C5ISR Life Cycle Management community. The Association monitors the ever-changing requirements of government R&D, Programs and Support missions within this community through a series of monthly guest speaker briefings and committee activities; and follows policy, requirements and trends in the government acquisition system to better prepare its members to execute business development activities.


Become a member of IRA

Membership in the IRA is on an individual rather than a company basis. The requirements for membership include: actively calling upon US Army C5ISR organizations in a marketing capacity a minimum of six (6) days per month; paying $400 per year in dues (plus a one-time application fee of $50); and actively participating in the Association’s meetings and committees. An annual re-certification is also required to maintain membership in good standing. To Apply you must have two active IRA Members are sponsors to complete the application. Once approved, an invoice for membership will be issued to the new applicant.
